The world is facing one of the biggest challenges it has ever had to overcome - COVID-19. Economies are at risk of falling into deep recessions, unemployment rates are at an all-time high, employees are forced to work from their homes and social distancing rules have been set in place.

Apart from the global economic slump, it is still unknown what effect social distancing has on our well-being and what the long-term effects on our health and talent development at Witteveen+Bos will be. Social distancing is not only forcing us to work from home but it is also limiting the contact we have with colleagues from other departments. We have proven to be resilient and accepting to these unique circumstances so far, but how long can we keep that up? Should we continue working the way we did or is this the unique opportunity to change the way we work from here on out? Is this a change to really diversify our approach? Instead of working solitary, finding new ways to really participate in the W+B family, and to do so in a way that improves our well-being.

Through our projects we can also create a healthy working and living environment for others. How can we help others to choose a healthier alternative and in what way can we limit the negative impact of our projects on its environment? What are barriers in creating this healthy environment, and how could we overcome these?

Do you have any suggestions on how to do so? We challenge everyone to bring new ideas to the table! Your ideas do not have to provide a complete and overall answer to our broad research question. We are looking for concrete ideas, both small and large, rather than abstract thoughts. We are excited to discover more about your ideas, so go ahead and submit them!
